PSYC951: Advanced Issues in Social Psychology |
The overall objective of this unit is to provide an understanding of the approaches used by social psychologists to investigate social phenomena. This will be achieved by presenting and attending seminars on a range of contemporary topics drawn from the scientific literature on social psychology. In addition, each student will conduct a review of the literature on a particular topic area in social psychology and distil this review into a comprehensive and up to date account of the state of the scientific knowledge on the topic. This review will be used as a basis for specific recommendations for future research in the form of a proposed study.
