This unit explores the use of computer-assisted learning and web-based resources to aid in the teaching of earth sciences in a secondary school environment. The importance of using sound educational principles to underpin the design of materials is stressed, with an emphasis on an inquiry-based approach. Creative exploration of new technologies that promote interactive learning is investigated.
