SOC363: International Population Movements: Work, Care and Cultural Politics |
This unit considers migration from a global perspective. It focuses on the way that population movements are shaped by global economic and political changes, and on impact of population movements the international and national politics. Keys concern include the changing international division of labour in care and work, asylum seekers and refugees and the policies of accommodation and containment, such as multiculturalism, that have accompanied population movements and shape contemporary life.
