STAT888: Applied Business Techniques |
This unit provides the skills necessary to apply the techniques of quantitative analysis in organisational decision-making situations. The approach consists of defining the business problem, developing a model, acquiring the necessary data, developing and analysing the solution and implementing the results, using practical examples and case studies. The topics covered in this unit are broadly classified as 1) introduction to probabilistic models, 2) linear programming and 3) queueing theory and project management.
