CBMS880: Selected Topics in Biotechnology |
The unit will be composed of lectures, a significant hands-on laboratory component, student seminars, debates, tutorials, assignments and readings. A visit to local industry will be arranged. We will discuss examples of cutting edge research and biotechnology related recent developments and how these relate to our personal lives, society and industry. Visiting lecturers from industry and various academic disciplines will lead discussion on their area of expertise.
