MAS223: Radio Production |
This course introduces students to the radio broadcasting industry, radio broadcast practice, and ethics, and has a practical component in radio program production. Special attention is given to the nature and interrelationships between society and this specialised mass medium. This unit aims to provide an introduction to and broad understanding of core principles and practices of radio broadcasting, with a particular emphasis on public, community, and commercial radio broadcasting. The course will cover theories and issues relating to media processes and analysis of radio production. The workshop component comprises hands-on production classes and the use of digital facilities and equipment.
