MCSI208: Justice and Social Change: Christian Perspectives |
What does it take to build a better world? And should we even try? These questions continue to engage Christians and lead to diverse opinions, strategies, and theological positions. Using a Biblical perspective, this unit examines and critically evaluates social justice and the main strategies for social change used by both secular and Christian social movements. These strategies extend from Monastics to Marx, from Martin Luther King to Midnight Oil and extend to lobbying, protest and legislation, aid and development, dissent and submission.
