Offered D1, D2, 2008
The MCSI Mentor Program aims to give students an opportunity to reflect on and explore work place practices in their chosen field, through consultation with an experienced Christian practitioner in the field. It provides a relationship based opportunity for students to investigate their chosen vocation in more depth from a Christian perspective. Mentors will provide students with insight into the practical outworking of Christian faith and values in the workplace. This will encompass day to day workplace practices as well as philosophical approaches to ethical and other issues in the workplace and currently accepted 'best practice'. This unit is graded only at the S/F level. Students will spend at least 156 hours in this program. Assessment includes a paper of 5,000-6,000 words. (Contact MCSI before enrolment)

When offered: WV 2008
Our environment is under threat. Past and present ecological irresponsibility have produced climate warming, water shortage, issues with biodiversity and other environmental challenges... Is there a theological dimension to the ecological crisis? What is the Christian response? The Environment and Christian Faith connects Christian faith with the world-wide environmental crisis. This unit introduces the concepts of ecotheology and it examines current ecological issues in Australia from a Christian perspective.
