POD802: Foundations of Podiatry

This unit will be run in block mode over three weeks full time in the summer term. It is intended to provide students with foundation training in podiatry. The unit will cover an introduction to clinical reasoning; clinical communication; the development of clinical expertise; the role of the podiatrist, occupational health and safety; clinical techniques and an introduction to instrument usage, dressing and topical medication and mechanical techniques.
