RSN325: Russian Cinema |
This course will present best-known Russian films with English subtitles and look at them from cultural, historical, and ideological points of view. Films will range from the 1920's to the present. Students will express their understanding and views on the films shown through essays written in English (or in Russian if they prefer). The unit includes use of computer-aided language learning, such as quizzes and bulletin boards for discussions with the unit convener and other students.
