Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Education) (No new admissions)

Abbreviation: PGDipSc(Ed)

Description

The Postgraduate Diploma of Science (Education) program embeds leading-edge science content in pedagogy relevant to secondary education, placing content in its real world context. Entirely online, the program is ideal for teachers in rural and remote areas. The program was developed through partnerships between education and science faculties of six universities. It is for secondary science teachers Australia-wide with no residential sessions. Please note: This degree does not train teachers nor does it prepare people to teach. People wishing to train as teachers should request information about the Graduate Diploma in Education from the Student Enquiry Service on 02 9850 6410. Although the Master of Science (Education) is comprised of units offered at a number of Australian universities, the degree is conferred by Macquarie University. Students who wish to apply should enrol in the program at Macquarie University. Students wanting to enrol in a unit offered by a partner university should enrol at Macquarie first, then apply to the participating university as a cross-institutional student. Macquarie University is then able to map a student's progress through the program. Please contact the Division before enrolling.
