ACES803: Conducting and Communicating a Research Project

In consultation with an academic supervisor, selected by the student either a) in an earlier research training unit (eg, ACES802), or b) for their expertise in the student's chosen topic and their willingness to act as supervisor of a research project in that same area, students enrolling in this unit will undertake a small scale research project and develop a research report based on the data collected. For students undertaking the series of research training units contained within a masters program or a series of research training units as a prerequisite to higher degree research, this research project will be based upon the critical review of literature conducted in ACES802. The product of this unit will be suitable for use as a pilot study for a higher degree by research, or as the basis of a research proposal to support candidacy for doctoral study.
