BCA804: Data Management and Statistical Computing

On completion of this unit students should have an understanding of the impact of computers and large data sets on the way we think about, analyse and report on them. The unit will be built around: primary data to address specific questions (health survey, clinical trial); routinely-collected data (hospital in-patient data); process monitoring over time (quality monitoring, infection control).
