BIOL807: Modelling Tools for Conservation Management
Computer models are standard tools for determining the likelihood that populations will persist for a certain time into the future. Many nations require by law that such analyses be performed to guide the optimal management of wild species. This unit will instruct wildlife managers in the practical application of computer modelling to guide efficacious species management. No substantial computer literacy is required; only the ability to use a keyboard and mouse.
