CBMS807: Bioethics and Biotechnology

This unit introduces students to ethical issues raised by current developments in biotechnology, especially in the sphere of genetic technology. Topics include the ethics of genetic technology in human medicine and reproduction (including genetic screening/testing, genetic therapies, genetic enhancement, and cloning), and the impact of biotechnologies on other aspects of human, animal and environmental well-being.
