CBMS809: Biochemistry

Topics dealt with in detail include the transport of molecules across membranes, macromolecular degradation and signal perception and transduction pathways. Other subject areas discussed include Michaelis-Menten enzyme kinetics, allosteric enzymes, feedback inhibition and covalent and other modifications of enzymes. Lectures and laboratory classes will be given on a weekly basis as shown in the timetable and laboratory classes will complement the lecture material.
