ECED830: Early Intervention: Theory and Practice

The unit will provide students with opportunity to integrate their knowledge of principles of child development, developmental processes and early childhood curriculum into a framework focussing on the developmental, interactive and educational needs of younger children from the full range of disability groups. Both theory and research based practice will be emphasised, as will the needs of families and how these are met through social policy, service provision, early intervention programs and inclusive education.
