ICMS841: Sport in Australia

In the context of sport in Australia, this unit will examine: the history of sport and mass culture; ideologies of sport; the rise of organised sport in Australia; the social and political implications of sporting institutions; developments in Australian sports after WWII, mythology in sport and the impact of globalisation on Australian sporting culture.
