LAW865: Biodiversity and Biotechnology Law

This unit evaluates current regimes designed to protect biodiversity. Starting with the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Global Biodiversity Strategy, the unit will evaluate the actions taken both internationally and nationally to save and sustainably use the world's biological diversity. Specific topics covered include legal mechanisms to protect biodiversity, genetically modified organisms, access to genetic resources and intellectual property rights in biodiversity.
