This unit examines approaches to liability for civil wrongs, concentrating on fault and compensation in the law of negligence. It includes theoretical and normative perspectives. The duty of negligence teaches us about what it is to 'reason' in the law; the relationship of legal ideas to historical forces, and our relationship 'each to each'.
