This unit is concerned with intercultural considerations in the classroom; language learning and teaching in monolingual and bilingual/multilingual societies; first and second language acquisition/learning; socio-psychological factors in language learning and teaching; the adult learner and the young learner of languages; politics of language; critical literacy.
