MAS802: Interpreting Technology

This unit surveys the various means by which technology's role in twentieth-century society has been interpreted. The approach incorporates theoretical models, the contemporary experience of technology, and the representation of technology in twentieth-century aesthetics. The legal and cultural ramifications of digital media technologies are also assessed.
