This unit examines some major approaches to counselling such as Freudian, Jungian, primal therapy, behaviour therapy, reality therapy, and family systems. It considers the theological-anthropological issues emerging from the practice of counselling. It examines counselling models from a Christian perspective and considers their pastoral effectiveness.
