PSY966: Neuropsychological Disorders

The focus of this unit is impairments of cognitive and behavioural functioning following brain damage, with an emphasis on their clinical presentation and assessment, as well as what these disorders reveal about the functional organisation of the brain. Topics include disorders of memory; language and aphasias; perception and gnosis; apraxias; attention/neglect; and the frontal lobes - impairments of executive functioning and adaptive behaviour.
