PSYC900: Supervised Placement I

Students are required to undertake 1000 hours of supervised placement of which a minimum of 240 hours will be face-to-face counselling in at least three different settings. Placements will be supervised by members of the College of Counselling Psychology of the Australian Psychological Society or by persons eligible for membership of the College of Counselling Psychology. Although students may use their paid employment to obtain supervised practice, over the period of candidacy it will be necessary to obtain some work experience in at least two other settings, and evidence of a range of work within the employment setting will be necessary.
