PSYC908: Counselling Theory and Practice

This unit covers the fundamentals of counselling theory and major theoretical perspectives drawn from a range of system theories. These theories will be explored in terms of the evaluative research findings. Essential elements of these theories are examined with the aim of developing a coherent framework for the counsellor. Workshops explore the practical implications of these theories and develop introductory skills relevant to the theoretical perspectives.
