SCED822: Land Degradation and Management
This unit looks at the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of soil, and soil ecology. It also covers land processes including hydrology and geomorphology, and land degradation processes including wind and water erosion, degradation of soil structure, salinity, waterlogging, soil fertility and acidification. In addition, it considers land rehabilitation methods, sustainable land use and land capability, and catchment and farm planning.
