SPH814: Professional Practice II
In this unit, assessment and diagnosis, management planning and intervention, charting client progress and report writing as required in the practice of speech pathology will be dealt with in detail. Skills in these areas will be developed through exercises relating to cases presented on video, CD Rom, or from students' own clinical placements. Models of consultation and service delivery of relevance to the Australian context will be discussed and contrasted to models used overseas. In addition, the role of health professionals in fields associated with speech pathology will be discussed within a philosophy of collaborative consultation.
