ABEC222: Music and Movement for Young Children in ATSI Contexts
This unit is designed to introduce the theory and practice of music and movement experiences for young children. There will be a thorough coverage of young children's development of musical and motor skills from birth to five years. The nature of music and dance in both traditional and contemporary ATSI contexts and their place in the lives of young children will be explored. Students will also consider how to plan, implement and evaluate early childhood music and movement experiences, including those appropriate for ATSI contexts.
