ABEC350: ATSI Children and Health: Educational and Social Implications
This unit will focus on various health and nutrition issues of ATSI children in contemporary settings both rural and urban. Particular emphasis will be given to the educational and social implications of health and nutrition issues. An aim of the unit is to promote an understanding of the role of services in the treatment and management of health conditions in the context of communities. The role of the service in health education within communities will also be examined. An additional focus of the unit will be on the health and safety of workers in group care and their role as models for the children in care.
