ACCG350: Financial Statement Analysis

This unit is about analysis of financial information, particularly published by listed companies in their Financial Statements. Emphasis is placed on the use of this information in equity valuation. Students will apply the four steps of financial statement analysis: strategic and business analysis, accounting analysis, financial analysis and prospective analysis. Assessment is via weekly assignments, case studies of listed companies, a major project involving analysis and valuation of a listed company and a final examination. The major project will be completed in syndicate groups.
