ARTS300: Arts Regulation, Management and Policy
This unit looks at contemporary management theory and its usefulness within arts contexts. Various elements of strategic management will be taught, with students designing their own arts institution in line with current management theory. The course will go on to examine the role of government regulation and policy within the arts sector. Seminars will also consider the role of the law (in regard to copyright, censorship etc) within the arts.
