CAPP100: Communication for Academic and Professional Purposes 1

Note: Entry to the CAPP units is restricted to students who are of non-English speaking background. For further information about entry requirements please contact the Linguistics Undergraduate Enquiry Office, C5A 508, ph 9850 8740.

CAPP100 aims to introduce students with language backgrounds other than English to critical reading and to the conventions of writing in academic disciplines. It focuses on the analytical and organisational skills needed to carry out writing tasks. CAPP staff will be available during enrolment to discuss the unit with students. They will arrange for students to obtain permission from the Head of Department to enrol in the unit.
