DEM355: Social and Applied Demography
This unit will focus on the implications of demographic trends for businesses and governments in Australia and selected overseas countries. Some of the topics covered will include: world population trends, demographic and business consequences of migration and ageing of population in Australia, socio-demographic implications of the changing status of women in the world, and some case studies on consumer demographics in Australia and China.
