ECHP422: Early Childhood Reflective Practice 5

This unit aims to develop independent professionals who will become confident and competent beginning early childhood teachers. Students will be required to demonstrate their understanding of and ability to implement the integrative approach distinctive to early childhood practice.

Students will also critique issues of bias and social justice in the early childhood field.

The field experience component requires a series of observation days and a block period of teaching in early childhood settings with young children. Students must take major responsibility during this period for adult negotiation and decision making as well as responsibility for children's learning and well-being.
