2009 Course Handbook
EDUC341: Reading Acquisition in the Primary Classroom
This unit deals with the theoretical and practical issues in the provision of effective services to students with learning problems in regular classrooms. It offers a systematic, research-based guide to teaching beginning reading. The unit equips teachers to work with at-risk or reluctant readers in the classroom as effectively as with children for whom reading seems to come naturally. The unit includes an on-line component.
