ELEC266: Sound and Video Systems

This general-education unit of study is accessible to students with little or no experience of physics or electronics, but it is a definite advantage to have some background in those subjects. About half of the subject matter deals with an introduction to sound and vision, with particular emphasis on the physics and physiology of speech, hearing and vision. The remainder deals with contemporary consumer electronics: sound recording, reproduction and broadcasting; television broadcasting and video recording.
