GMN275: German Literature and Culture

This is a reading unit that can be taken by students who have completed GMN287. A number of short 20th century texts will be studied taking into account their historical and cultural contexts. The unit will also introduce students to the basic tools for analysing literary texts.

This unit is strongly recommended to students who have the necessary prerequisites, as it will help them develop their reading skills and, at the same time, introduce them to important aspects of German culture and society. Assessment is by coursework.
