Surveys 200 years of women's experience in Australia, from European settlement to the Bicentenary. Topics include convict women, women and the bush, the Australian girl, Aboriginal women, the first feminists, women and war, the 'femocrat'. Extensive use will be made of biographical and autobiographical materials.
