JPN124: Japan - Past and Present

This unit aims at providing students with a general knowledge of Japan's traditions and the transitions it has undergone. It provides language and culture students with general historical knowledge of Japan, giving them a more holistic view. The main issues of each historical period will be introduced through audio-visual, photographic and reading materials. This unit is open to students of any Faculty or Department interested in Japan.
