JPN315: Advanced Spoken Japanese: Workshop in Oral Presentation and Interpreting

This unit is aimed at developing students' advanced oral communication and interpreting skills. This program is designed to develop communication skills in different encounter situations, e.g. doctor/patient, provider/client. Students will acquire skills to communicate at appropriate speech level (e.g. honorifics). Training in interpreting will be provided through interactive exercises. Some issues in cross-cultural communication will also be examined.
