JPN320: Japanese Mass Media Workshop

The aim of this unit is to enable students to critically examine the Japanese mass media and its materials. Some of the areas that are covered include: interpreting current topics presented in Japanese newspapers, magazines, and internet texts, viewing and examination of Japanese television programs, and analysing various forms of advertising. To participate effectively, students are expected to have achieved a good standing in other Japanese units of study. Japanese native speakers may enrol in this unit.
