LAW316: Property in Law and Equity I

The distribution and regulation of property requires judgments to be made about fundamental human questions concerning politics, economics, morality and ecology. Property law is unsurprisingly then, contested terrain. This unit provides a contextual outline and analysis of Anglo-Australian property law including: histories and theories of property, systems of title, mortgages, leases, concurrent ownership, covenants and easements, and native title.
