LING400: Seminar on Research Methods and Design

This unit focuses on general research principles, examining both experimental and interpretive styles of inquiry, the formulation of hypotheses, gathering of linguistic data, and its analysis and interpretation. Attention is also given to the organisation and writing of the research report. The unit may be run in conjunction with LING905 Action Research in Language Study.
