MAS110: Introduction to Digital Media Production

The aim of this unit is to introduce students to digital media production. The focus is towards small-scale digital media production executed in a digital lab environment. Basic skills in digital media production will be taught across text, image, video and sound. The unit will combine work on the conceptual, aesthetic and technical elements underlaying digital media production, exploring the ways in which contemporary media are both converging and marking out new territories. The unit is interdisciplinary and eclectic; it samples from a wide range of innovative digital media production.
