MAS395: Public Relations I

Public Relations I is a multifaceted and multidisciplinary introduction to Public Relations (PR) theory and practice. It traces major milestones in the establishment and development of PR as a field of professional communication. It examines various sub-fields of PR practice, such as media relations, community relations, consumer relations and/or government relations, and their influence in the contemporary social, cultural, political and economic contexts. It questions the ethical implications of PR practices and the possibility of overcoming the challenges inherent in those practices and their perception.
