MSM400: Museum Field Studies

Compulsory field excursion in September.

Students will visit small, specialist and large city museums which offer employment opportunities in SE Australia to investigate the range of curatorial roles and assess the scientific and cultural value of individual objects in collections, the range of public programs and the status of information management. Assignments will be based on comparative studies of museums visited.
