PHYS486: Topics in Contemporary Physics

Topics of significance to contemporary physics and technology are discussed. The topics vary from year to year, but can be expected to include such topics as quantum physics of open systems, laser physics, optical propagation and optical transitions, and advanced solid-state physics.
