2009 Course Handbook

PSY331: Design and Statistics III

The unit builds on and unifies statistical and design topics introduced in previous units, particularly PSY248 Design and Statistics II. Topics covered include multiple regression (linear and curvilinear), logistic regression, analysis of variance and covariance and model reduction procedures. These are all applied to non-orthogonal experimental designs. The unit also seeks to illustrate links between these "different" methods through placing them in the framework of the generalized linear model and in doing so enhance students' understanding of statistical methods. Practical classes utilise the SPSS statistical package.
