RSN150: Introductory Russian I

This is an introductory Russian unit specifically designed for speakers of English who have no prior knowledge of Russian, or Russian background speakers who do not have literacy skills. The unit will cover the main concepts of Russian grammar and vocabulary. It will develop different functional skills of language usage: speaking, reading, writing and translating from and into Russian. RSN150 is offered in internal and external modes. A two-hour lecture and a two-hour tutorial are offered for internal students per week. All study materials for lectures and tutorials, as well as assignments, are available at https://learn.mq.edu.au/. External students receive recordings of the lectures on CDs. iLectures can also be accessed. There is one on-campus session during the semester for external students living in the Sydney metropolitan area.
